We can help get your pendulum moving!
Before we start, does the pendulum swing easily when you push it? If not, the pendulum may still be in the locked position. If it is cocked off to the side, gently pull the hook in the opposite direction to release it.
Still not working? The next step is to ensure you are using a new battery. Replace your battery and let's see if that works!
No luck? Are you using the pendulum that came with the movement? If not, try using the pendulum that came with the movement and see if that does the trick.
Now, check both the movement and clock case with a level. They need to be leveled both vertically and horizontally.
Last step - Remove the pendulum. Does the hook swing freely without the pendulum? If yes, it means the movement is fine, but the pendulum is causing the problem.
We find the majority of the time the cause of a non-swinging pendulum is a level issue.
